on a whim today, i decided it was time to pop the card out of your first camera and upload what’s there, if for no other reason than it is a miracle in itself that this camera is still working…
at some point early last fall, we discovered my very first digital point and shoot camera, and we gave it to you. what you need to know is that this thing is a monster. it’s been submerged into full glasses of beer (thanks, danny) and it’s been dropped at least a thousand times just from the time you’ve had it, no telling how many times i dropped it too. today, the camera has no lens covering, the settings are so whack. it’s been spilled on, thrown across the room in fits, and often we can’t figure out where you hid it.
but what i love about these, is that they don’t get more real than this. you don’t take a photo and think much beyond what you’re taking a photo of. you don’t consider angles, flattery, clutter, or horizon lines. you don’t care if the house is a wreck, or if my face is breaking out like a teenagers. you don’t care if we haven’t even brushed our teeth yet. you just, well… you do you.
and you’re terrific.
thank you for seeing us, bug.
(first photo i forced, duh. the rest of them are either by you, or requested by you)
